The hotel is run by The Matterhorn Group, who are certified under the ISO 12001:2015 international standard of environmental management. Various initiatives are in place to reduce their carbon footprint, such as upgrading the heating system to one operated by regionally produced pellets – a move that has seen a 0.835 metric ton reduction in CO2 emissions.
The Grand Hotel Zermatterhof has welcomed guests with traditional Swiss hospitality since 1879. This five-star hotel upholds a long tradition of elegance and yet it is less formal than its rival, the Mont Cervin, and the staff are generally young and friendly.
The hotel includes a spa with excellent facilities and a host of treatments on offer. It boasts 15 junior and medium suites as well as several of the public rooms including the Rudenbar.
