Sierra Nevada Ski Resort

As one of Europe’s highest ski resorts, Sierra Nevada is a snow-sure resort and a great ski holiday destination. The ski resort offers gorgeous long hours of winter sunshine and spectacular skiing. You’ll enjoy fabulous views of the Atlas Mountains in Morocco while skiing the wide variety of pistes that cater for every type of skier.

With a total of 102km of skiable terrain, there is plenty of skiing across the four areas that are all interlinked. Slopes are best suited to beginners and intermediates with plenty of wide, long blue and red runs that are perfect for practising turns.

The season here runs from December to April and it’s a great ski resort for early or late skiing given Sierra Nevada’s high altitude.

Ski Areas in Sierra Nevada

Sierra Nevada ski resort is split into four separate ski areas that are all well-linked and easily accessible. You’ll catch one of two gondolas up to the mid-station at Borreguiles where you’ll find the nursery slopes. Intermediates and experts should carry on up to 3,300m where the majority of the more challenging and freestyle terrain can be found. You’ll be able to find slopes that catch the afternoon sun, of which there is plenty given the resorts southern location – especially towards the end of the season.
