You’ll find an excellent array of runs in Sierra Nevada ski resort, ranging from a nursery slope area ideal for beginners to some challenging black runs and exciting off-piste. The green and blue runs are well-groomed, however, the resort is best suited to intermediate skiers who can take advantage of the long reds that Sierra Nevada is famous for. There’s early morning skiing 7:30am – 9:00am on a Sunday, so if you’re looking for empty slopes and fresh tracks then you’ll want to set your alarm.

Sierra Nevada ski resort has an array of excellent restaurants dotted throughout the resort, with most located by the nursery slopes in Borreguiles. You can find all the traditional European Alpine cuisine, including fondues and raclette, as well as some Mediterranean specialities – paella at Nevasol is a must. With the coast so nearby it’s very easy for those that aren’t taking to the slopes to head for the beach, a unique alternative option for a ski holiday. Within resort there’s plenty for non-skiers to entertain themselves with, from tobogganing to ski bikes or ice-skating. At night time there’s the opportunity to go star-gazing as well. The city of Granada is less than an hours drive away and is a great place to explore, steeped in fascinating culture and heritage.
