Hotel Eiger

The Stähli-von Allmen family has run Hotel Eiger for four generations since its inception in 1886. This traditional family hotel is one of the most welcoming in the Alps and one of our favourites. Families return year after year for the charming team's relaxed ambience and excellent hospitality. 

There are superb views across the valley to the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau mountains from the balconies. The Tachi bar is one of the popular meeting places which stays open till the early hours. During a stay, guests can also enjoy the hotel's restaurant, which serves European dishes such as soups, pasta, fondues and a wide selection of meat dishes. The Hotel Eiger is right opposite the tiny railway station and five minutes walk from the Allmendhubel funicular. The Schilthorn cable car at the other end of the village is just 10 minutes walk, and you can ski back to the hotel, snow-permitting.

All bedrooms at Hotel Eiger are decorated in a comfortable modern Alpine style; some have balconies for taking in the impressive mountain views. Additional facilities include a large spa area which consists of a large indoor pool, whirlpool, rain showers, multiple types of sauna, sanatorium, solarium, relaxation area and cardio gym.
