Ski Areas in Vaujany

Vaujany is part of the Alpe d’Huez ski area, which makes up more than 250km of varied pistes across the region. of varied pistes. The ski area is ideal for beginners, with its own nursery section of the mountain dedicated to the first timers.

Advanced skiers will enjoy the more challenging pistes from the Alpette-Rousses cable car. Cruise the thigh-burning slopes and explore the hardest sections of the ski area.

Skiing in Vaujany

The skiing in Vaujany is exceptionally diverse and caters for all abilities. Ascend to the heights of 3,300m and visit the Sarenne Glacier, found below the Pic Blanc peak. Marvel at the remarkable views before descending the longest black run in the world.

The nursery slopes at the Alpette and Montfrais mountain stations are a great starting point for beginners. Both can be easily reached from the village centre, giving direct access to the slopes via a gondola.

Snowboarding in Vaujany

For the beginner snowboarders there’s plenty of wide open, gentle pistes to practice linking turns. For those with freestyle flair, there’s a small snow park above the village. Head over to the bigger park in Alpe d’Huez for a more challenging park, where you’ll find a half-pipe, varied jumps and a boardercross.

Top Ski Runs

Chalets
Take the Vaujany-Alpette gondola to Alpette 2,050m before heading east along Chalets blue ski run. This slope traverses across the Vaujany mountain area and returns into the resort centre.


Vaujaniate
For a secluded, peaceful run take the Montfrais gondola and take the red slope Vaujaniate. This slope is great for intermediates who love a treelined piste.


Pic Blanc
Head up the Vaujany Alpette and onwards to reach Pic Blanc at 3,300m. Here you can appreciate the extraordinary views across the region before descending one of the longest runs in the world.
