St. Anton

Hotel Schwarzer Adler (St Anton)
The original inn was built by the Knights of St John in the early 1500s and remained a staging post until the Tschol family bought it in 1885 and began to transform the simple Gasthof into the four-star hotel it is today. It was lavishly extended in 2000 with the addition of a new wing to include bedrooms and superb pool and spa area. The bar area has been refurbished and is very attractive and welcoming. The chef uses ingredients from the family’s own farm and the wine list is vast with some wonderful Austrian vintages.

Standard rooms are in the older part of the hotel and are not as light and bright as those in the new wing which have used lighter wood and fabrics. All, however, are comfortable and there is a good range of single rooms as well.
