This all depends on what suits your family. Stay in a chalet for complete privacy, flexible mealtimes, and the warmth of a home-away-from-home. Plus, kids can go to bed when you don’t have to! Whereas in a hotel you may prefer having spa facilities, a concierge and evening entertainment. It all comes down to what’s most important on your family ski holiday.

Ski schools can take children from as young as three years old. Snowboarding lessons tend to be available for children older than this. Each child is different, so it is dependent on how confident the child is on the snow and being with an instructor. It’s good to get a gauge of their comfort by spending time on the nursery slopes. Build their familiarity in the dedicated learning areas that don’t require a lift pass!

We advise keeping an eye on the weather leading up to your ski holiday. However, we all know it can drastically change day-to-day! Pack some cards to entertain in the evening and pack a swimming kit – most ski resorts have a swimming pool to explore.
